The Evolution
of the OneFormer
1926
Joseph Pilates develops the first classical Reformer to rehab broken ballerinas, thus creating a machine that will change the movement and physical therapy worlds forever
2006
Sebastien Lagree improves on the classical Reformer by making the carriage larger and more stable, expanding the back platform, and adding a second set of cables. He patents it as the Megaformer and builds his proprietary Lagree method.
2015
A senior Lagree teacher in Southern California breaks off from the Lagree institution and creates the Xformer - a Megaformer kockoff with limited features but unencumbered by licensing requirements.
2025
The OneFormer is born - a machine with 4 different spring loads (instead of the 2 on most Megaformers or Xformers) - allowing for very precise and gradual progressive overload. The lightest load is 8 lbs and the heaviest load is 300 lbs - making it a true strength training machine. No other reformer on the market has this range.
The front bars can incline or decline making them easier on the wrists and allowing for deeper ranges of motion.
Each side of the carriage has a ruler showing the student how far the carriage is moving in an ab roller, or not moving in a heavy squat, empowering them to self assess more accurately.
Each OneFormer comes with its custom weight rack. The dumbbells allow for torque doubling and make every exercise a compound full body experience.

Whether you want the lightest touch or the heaviest challenge, OneFormer adapts to you so you can get stronger, more powerful, and never plateau. This is key to progressive overload.
